Source Standards

All factual claims must be attributable to a verifiable primary source — official league documentation, broadcaster announcements, club communications, or established sports journalism outlets. Secondary sources are used only where primary sources are unavailable and the information is widely corroborated.

Every article includes a Sources section listing all referenced URLs and the date they were verified.

Distinguishing Content Types

Every article is labelled with one of the following content types, displayed prominently:

• News — confirmed factual reporting
• Analysis — data-driven breakdown with clear attribution
• Opinion — editorial viewpoint, clearly signposted
• Explainer — explanatory, rule-based or educational content
• Rumour — attributed speculation; source must be named and credible

AI Transparency

EcoByte Sport uses AI language tools to assist with research, drafting structure and editorial organisation. AI tools are not permitted to generate invented statistics, fabricated quotes, or content presented as primary reporting without human verification. All published articles are reviewed before publication.

Articles carry the byline “EcoByte Sport Editorial Team · AI-assisted research” to make this clear to readers.

Correction Process

We are committed to accuracy. When errors are identified, corrections are made promptly and transparently. Significant corrections are noted within the article with the date and nature of the change. For more information, see our Corrections page.

No Fake Scores, No Live Labels

EcoByte Sport does not publish fabricated match scores, invented player quotes, or real-time match data. We do not use “LIVE” labels on content that is not genuinely live-updated.
